Advisory that ends with a plan you can actually execute
Target operating models, architecture reviews, model selection, and costed roadmaps for enterprises building with Claude. Short, focused engagements that leave your team with decisions, not slides.
Scope of engagement
- Target operating model for enterprise AI: teams, governance, funding, skills gap.
- Architecture review of existing or proposed Claude-based systems.
- Model and agent selection: Claude Opus, Sonnet, Haiku, and when each is the right fit.
- Build vs buy analysis against specific use cases, including cost and evaluation trade-offs.
- Delivery roadmap: sequencing, dependencies, budget, risk, and success criteria.
- Executive and board-level briefings translating technical choices into business outcomes.
Grounded in data-platform reality
Most enterprise AI failures are data problems dressed up as AI problems. Our advisory work treats the data plane as first-class: where does the operational data live, how is it governed, and how does it feed retrieval, agents, and evaluation? That lens is why clients with demanding Cassandra and Kafka estates choose AxonOps over generalist AI consultancies.
A predictable path from scope to running system
Intake
Two to three workshops with your technical and business stakeholders. We arrive with a structured question list and leave with a shared problem statement.
Assessment
Architecture, data, skills, and governance assessed against the target state. Gaps are surfaced early.
Recommendation
A concrete recommendation document covering architecture, model and agent choices, sequencing, costs, and risks.
Enablement
Optional follow-through: stand up the first build team, run reviews, or transition into a build engagement.
What clients walk away with
Clear target architecture
A reference architecture your engineering team can build against, with the model and agent choices justified.
Costed roadmap
Sequencing and budget for the first year of AI delivery, with explicit assumptions and dependencies.
Stakeholder alignment
A shared understanding between engineering, compliance, and business on what to build, in what order, and why.
Common questions
How long does an advisory engagement take?
Most run four to eight weeks from intake to final recommendation. Larger programme-level work takes longer and is scoped explicitly.
Do we need to have decided on Claude already?
No. Part of the advisory work is model selection. We are honest about where other models or non-AI approaches are a better fit.
Can you work alongside our existing consultancy or SI?
Yes. We often complement existing partners by bringing data-platform and Claude-specific depth that generalist SIs lack.
Is BYOAI always the right pattern?
For regulated enterprises, usually yes. We set out the trade-offs explicitly rather than defaulting to a single model.
